The advances in Information Technology revolutionized the Radiology and Medical Imaging. It is clear that Radiology departments are becoming more and more digital. In addition Radiology is heavily using IT services in exploring electronic systems in their daily clinical operations and research work. Many IT professionals however, do not have an idea on the demands of a Radiologist. The Radiologists in turn, trained very little in IT. It is therefore essential to have a forum where the Radiologist and the Computer Experts / Engineers to interact, understand the subject, and undertake research in this area and to exchange ideas. This will give an opportunity for the Computer Scientists and the Radiologists to work together for better patient care.
